About Mudras:
The term 'Mudra' derives from Sanskrit, where it signifies a 'posture' or 'pose.' Literally translating to mean 'joy-producing,' Mudras have deep roots in Hinduism and Buddhism. They serve as a silent language of self-expression through hand gestures and finger postures. Various traditional practices utilize up to 200 Mudras in Bharatanatyam and 250 in Mohiniattam. Moreover, around 108 are essential in Tantric rituals.

Mudras engage the entire body and function like a closed electrical circuit that facilitates the flow of energy throughout. Given that the human body comprises five elements represented by the fingers—Fire (Thumb), Air (Index), Sky (Middle), Earth (Ring), and Water (Little Finger)—the proper alignment of these elements is crucial for overall health. By connecting specific fingers with the thumb corresponding to each element, balance can be restored, thus potentially alleviating ailments linked to elemental imbalance.

Regular practice ranging from 5 to 45 minutes using appropriate Mudras with proper pressure and mindful breathing can yield significant benefits. However, the effectiveness also hinges on dietary habits and lifestyle choices.
